Our Attorneys
Bernard E. Beyt (1922–2010)
Bernard E. Beyt graduated from Southwestern Louisiana Institute, the forerunner to University of Louisiana at Lafayette, prior to joining the Army Air Corps during the Second World War. After service overseas and obtaining the rank of Captain, Bernard attended law school at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He spent his years prior to founding Beyt & Beyt in 1969 working for Sun Oil Company. Bernard practiced primarily oil and gas law while dividing his time between numerous civic organizations. He retired from the practice of law in 1991.
Janice Daigre Beyt
Janice Beyt began practicing in 1978, focusing on family law since that time.
She has extensive community involvement, having served as president of the boards of 232-Help/211, Hospice of Acadiana, St. Thomas More School Board, Lafayette Catholic Service Centers, and The Volunteer Center. She has also served as a board member of the following organizations: Our Lady of Fatima School Board, Lafayette Bar Association, Junior League of Lafayette, Junior Achievement, Acadiana Arts Council and Acadiana Youth.
Raymond A. Beyt
Raymond attended University of Southwestern Louisiana and graduated from Louisiana State University law school, graduating in 1977.
Raymond’s practice has almost exclusively involved oil and gas matters, including title, land and leasing matters, as well as oil and gas contracts and oil and gas property acquisitions. Raymond has handled various cases involving disputes between landowners and their mineral lessees, as well as between co-owners of mineral properties. He has filed and litigated numerous lien matters involving producing oil and gas properties.
Aaron Durand Beyt
Aaron joined the Law Offices of Beyt & Beyt in 2010 after graduating from Saint Louis University School School of Law. He attended Louisiana State University for his bachelors.
His practice primarily focuses on successions, estate planning, business formation, transactional matters, and related litigation.
Aaron is admitted to the bars of Louisiana and Missouri and serves on the board of Hospice of Acadiana as its First Vice President. He also is active in the Lafayette Bar Association as a pro bono attorney.
